Anagraph is a design and publishing studio based in Berkeley, CA. We specialize in content creation, storytelling, branding, and strategy across digital and print media. We’re also the producers of Anxy, a beautifully designed magazine exploring mental health through an artful and creative lens.
We’re looking for a meticulous, enthusiastic design intern to assist on client projects and marketing production. This person will work alongside our design team and report to the Creative Director.
Our ideal candidate is motivated, hard-working, methodical, organized, and a great communicator. You have a point of view, but want to develop it further, and are open to new ways of working and challenging yourself.
Research for moodboards
Brainstorming & sketching
Design development and strategy
Assist with production needs for Anxy magazine
Photo retouching, design production & asset management
Prepress for web and print production
Design & production of assets for social media
Extensive applied knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)
Must supply your own computer (Mac)
Minimum of 1 year of hands on experience
Have an original, engaging portfolio including branding, knowledge of typography, book, publication and web design.
Experience working in highly collaborative environment
Ability to prioritize and deliver excellent results
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills
Team player who can accept feedback & constructive criticism
Video or motion experience a plus
Illustration skills are a plus
Knowledge of riso printing a plus
Passion for contemporary art, print, or publishing
This is a part-time paid internship, up to three days per week on-site at our Berkeley, CA office.
